Ancestral connection

Scotland is a storied land. Our lore, deeply entwined with the land, is carried in the old stories. Myth, legend, folklore and history await in every glen, hilltop and castle.

We meet local storytellers who continue the ancient oral tradition, bringing us into intimate contact with the land, sea, sky and the people of Scotland.

This 12-day journey takes us from the medieval city of Edinburgh, to the shores of Loch Tay and over the sea to 5,000 year old standing stones on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. We gather with local storytellers and musicians in each location.

Along the way we weave the stories of the land, with the story of you and your ancestors into a more cohesive whole, bringing you back home renewed.

This trip is for anyone drawn to Scotland through ancestral or soul longing who wants to deepen their connection to this sacred land and her stories.

Ancestral Connection Wilderness Vigil
May 1-13, 2026

Slowing down, making space to be in deep contemplation and connection with the land, sea and sky has always been part of the Celtic tradition.

The stories speak of those who went out into the hills for three days and three nights and returned with gift previously unimaginable.

This time of vigil, prayer, quest is common throughout cultures across the world. A ritual to carve out space from daily life, to step out of time, and be in conversation with the more-than-human, with the ancestors and the unseen forces.

This 13-day trip takes us from the Scottish Lowlands to the Highlands culminating in a three-day, tree-night, solo, wilderness vigil in one of the remotest locations in Scotland.

This trip is for those ready to engage deeply in ancestral and cultural healing work with a focus on connecting with the earth-honoring, spiritual traditions of the British Isles and Northern Europe.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,

May the clarity of light be yours,

May the fluency of the ocean be yours,

May the protection of the ancestors be yours.
